Juan Mata has returned to training with Chelsea following his international exploits this summer.
The midfielder featured for Spain in the European Championship and, more recently, has been involved in the Olympics.
So too was Oriol Romeu, who also returned to the Blues’ Cobham training base this morning.
It gives a boost to manager Roberto Di Matteo, whose side have had a difficult pre-season and were beaten 3-1 by Championship side Brighton on Saturday.
“It’s a question of getting everybody back. We’ve not had all the players together yet,” said Di Matteo.
“Once we get everyone back we can all work together and start looking at things.”
