There were several excellent performances as Chelsea’s development side beat Tottenham 3-1 on Friday evening.
Blues boss Antonio Conte watched as Jay Dasilva, Isaac Christie-Davies and Fikayo Tomori scored second-half goals to give the home team resounding win.
Here are three players who definitely caught the eye:
An absolutely terrific display from Scott, who pulled the strings in midfield. The highlight of his performance was his part in the second goal, when he won the ball, exchanged passes with Ike Ugbo and saw his shot saved before Christie-Davies bundled in the loose ball.
Mount was excellent too. He was involved in the third goal, beautifully back-heeling the ball into the path of Tomori, and created a late chance for Ugbo with a fine cross from the left.
The Ecuadorian midfielder had been superb in the Under-23s’ previous games this season and although this wasn’t quite a stand-out display on that level, it was still another great performance.
He has ability to find pockets of space and arrive in the box at just the right time. He was perhaps fortunate to win the penalty for the opening goal when he appeared to lose his balance after a lovely piece of skill inside the box, but Quintero continues to impress.
