Boss shrugs off Sturridge speculation
Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo again insisted that Daniel Sturridge is part of his future plans following the Blues’ dramatic League Cup win over Manchester United.
The forward, who scored the all-important fourth goal in Chelsea’s 5-4 victory, has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool.
But Di Matteo has repeatedly stated that he believes Sturridge will stay at Stamford Bridge.
And the Italian said: “I get asked about speculation, but I’m very happy with him.
“He’s our striker and as far as I’m concerned part of our team.”
