Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo has refused to confirm reports the club are on the verge of signing Cesar Azpilicueta from Marseille.
The Spain right-back is said to be close to agreeing a move to Stamford Bridge and has made it clear he wants to join the Blues.
But Di Matteo said: “No, there is no news – nothing at all. There’s nothing to say about the speculation going around.
“We are not going to have any have new players before tomorrow’s game [against Reading].”
Di Matteo confirmed that Ramires has been passed fit for Tuesday’s match after missing the win at Wigan because of illness, but summer signing Marko Marin is still out.
