Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was delighted with the patience and ruthless manner of his side’s comfortable 2-0 away win against Hull City.
Eden Hazard’s stunning strike and a late Fernando Torres goal earned the Blues victory that took them a point clear at the top of the Premier League.
Mourinho said: “It was good performance. We were very stable, very calm.
“First half they controlled us very well. They defended well and changed their system to adapt to us. They pressed a lot so we could not create a lot of chances.
“But we were calm and did not get frustrated so we never lost balance. Tactically we kept our shape. We did not give them opportunities to score.
“In the second half we had more of the ball. I was happy because we were in control.
“We controlled the game well and the second goal was more likely to happen for us than a first goal for them.”
