Siewert: It was a bad time to play Chelsea
Huddersfield manager Jan Siewert said his side faced Chelsea at the worst possible time after suffering a 5-0 mauling at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues dominated throughout, with Eden Hazard the standout player.
Hazard and Gonzalo Higuain both scored twice, while a late David Luiz header wrapped up a comprehensive victory which was the perfect response to the 4-0 midweek mauling against Bournemouth.
“Chelsea looked like they were angry after the result against Bournemouth,” the new Terriers boss said.
“It was a bad time to play them. We had the first chance and were willing to try to score but they at a different level to where we are.”
