Wenger appears to rule out Sanchez joining Chelsea

Arsene Wenger appears to have ruled out Arsenal selling Alexis Sanchez to Chelsea.

Sanchez has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge amid speculation over his future.

The Chilean’s contract is due to expire next year and Arsenal have been tipped to sell him if he does not sign a new deal.

But Gunners boss Wenger believes Sanchez will stay at the Emirates Stadium and would not be sold to a Premier League rival were he to leave.

“I don’t think you would sell him to any Premier League club, that is for sure,” Wenger said at a press conference on Tuesday.

“But as I have said, I think he will stay and sign a contract.”
