Marco van Ginkel played an hour for Chelsea’s Under-21s as they beat Blackburn 1-0 on Friday evening.
The Dutch midfielder, back in action after six months out with a knee injury, played 45 minutes for Dermot Drummy’s side against Manchester United last week.
And this time he featured for longer at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, where Islam Feruz netted a first-half winner – his 10th goal of the season.
Nathan Ake, John Swift and Lewis Baker all came close to doubling the young Blues’ lead in a one-sided game.
Drummy’s team are now unbeaten in their last 11 matches in the Under-21 Premier League.
