Blues boss explains Oscar substitution
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho revealed that Oscar is playing with an injury after substituting the Brazilian during the last-gasp 1-0 win over Everton.
Oscar struggled to make an impact but Mourinho said the change was because of a problem he would not reveal.
“Oscar was injured,” the Portuguese said. “He could not cope with the pain. There was no risk to make it worse but he could not carry on.”
Mourinho said that he hoped to have both John Obi Mikel and David Luiz back for the midweek trip to face Galatasaray in the Champions League, but would not be drawn further on Oscar.
