Benitez plans to take duo to Japan
Rafael Benitez plans to take John Terry and Frank Lampard to Japan for the World Club Cup despite doubts over their fitness.
Lampard is training again following a calf problem but is still not quite ready to return to action, while skipper Terry is recovering from a knee injury.
Interim boss Benitez is unsure when they will available for first-team selection but the plan is for both players to travel to Asia.
Meanwhile, Daniel Sturridge is still nursing a hamstring problem and at this stage looks unlikely to feature against West Ham on Saturday.
