Rafael Benitez insists he has no concerns about the fitness of recent signing Demba Ba.
The striker came off during the second half of Chelsea’s win at Stoke on Saturday, having been substitute for the Blues’ cup loss against Swansea last week.
Interim manager Benitez was criticised for not bringing Ba off the bench until the final 10 minutes of that semi-final defeat but subsequently said the player had been nursing hamstring problem.
But Ba has trained fully this week and is expected to start the game against Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.
“He’s fine. We know that we have to manage him but the medical staff do a good job. He trained yesterday and was training today,” Benitez explained.
Benitez also confirmed that skipper John Terry has suffered no adverse reaction to his return to first-team action as a substitute at Stoke.
Terry is building up his fitness after a two-month spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.
Meanwhile, Benitez has also confirmed that Lucas Piazon is joining Malaga on loan.

Let start Ba for dis one
From the article above, there is no where it's stated that Ba has injury. Although, no one expect Benitez to start him at home so that the boo boys can get further punished as they helplessly sit watching Torres strolling around the pitch.
