Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has dismissed speculation linking Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian forward Willian with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Willian has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for around £32m, although Shakhtar have indicated that they would be willing to sell for less.
The 23-year-old was reported to be a target for the Blues, but he would not be able to play for them in the Champions League this season were he to be transferred.
And Villas-Boas said: “Willian is an interesting player, but he is cup tied in the Champions League and I don’t think we should go for players who cannot be involved in all competitions.”
