Boga leaves Chelsea for Italian club Sassuolo

Jeremie Boga has left Chelsea to join Italian club Sassuolo.

The 21-year-old product of Chelsea’s academy made his first-team debut for the Blues against Burnley on the opening day of last season, but it turned out to be his only senior appearance for the club.

Boga, who has had loan spells at Birmingham City, Rennes and Granada, has therefore moved on in order to play regular first-team football.

He won two FA Youth Cups, the Uefa Youth League and the Under-21 Premier League during his time with Chelsea.

He is the second youngster to have left the club for Italy this summer, with Harvey St Clair having recently signed for Venezia.
