Another loan move for Chelsea defender Miazga

Reading have signed Matt Miazga on loan from Chelsea for the rest of the season.

The United States defender, 23, spent the first part of the campaign on loan at French club Nantes and has also been on loan with Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem since a surprise move to Chelsea from New York Red Bulls three years ago.

“Matt is a skilful, committed and commanding presence at the centre of defence and I am very pleased we have been able to welcome him into our family,” Reading manager Jose Gomes told the Championship club’s website.

“I am now looking forward to working with him on the training pitch for the first time.”
