Tammy Abraham has signed a new five-year deal with Chelsea but will spend next season on loan at Swansea City.
The 19-year-old completed his temporary move to the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday, as West London Sport reported last month.
He will be managed at the Swans by former Chelsea assistant first-team coach Paul Clement.
Abraham scored 26 times in all competitions while on loan at Bristol City last term, becoming the highest-scoring teenager in Championship history and the Robins’ player of the year.
With Chelsea, he won back-to-back FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League trophies, in 2014/15 and 2015/16, and was handed his first-team debut at Liverpool towards the end of the 2015-16 season.
Having represented England at Under-18 and Under-19 levels, Abraham scored twice on his full debut for the Under-21s last October and was part of the squad which reached the semi-finals of the European Under-21 Championships in Poland.
Newcastle and Brighton, both newly promoted to the Premier League, had been interested in signing him but Swansea have secured the deal.
