Chelsea Women star Kirby signs new deal

Chelsea FC Women forward Fran Kirby has signed a new long-term deal.

The England international, 24, has agreed a three-year contract after a brilliant season.

Kirby played a key role as Chelsea won the WSL1 title and Women’s FA Cup and she was named both the PFA Women’s Player of the Year and the Football Writers’ Women’s Player of the Year.

“It’s a massive step for me to commit to Chelsea, but one which I didn’t hesitate to make,” she told the club website.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time here. The staff have shown such faith in me and rewarding me with this new contract is amazing.”
