Chelsea Ladies want England striker Kirby

Chelsea Ladies are in talks to sign England star Fran Kirby.

The Reading FC Women striker, 25, starred for England at the recent Women’s World Cup, scoring the opener in a 2-1 win over Mexico.

She has scored three goals in her nine appearances for the national team and previously played for England at Under-23 level.

Chelsea are currently top of Women’s Super League 1, while Reading lead WSL2 and are vying for promotion to the top flight.
