Chelsea Ladies returned to winning ways in the FA WSL Continental Cup by sweeping aside Watford Ladies 3-0.
Gilly Flaherty went close early on, only to see her header cleared off the line, while Atlanta Primus had a shot saved by Watford’s former QPR Ladies keeper Trippoli Witney.
It was Primus who broke the deadlock just after the half-hour mark with a half-volley into the bottom corner.
And the Blues stretched their lead thanks to Jodie Brett, who converted a low free-kick from Gemma Davison (pictured).
Both Witney and Chelsea keeper Marie Hourihan made saves in the second half before substitute Millie Farrow put a gloss on the scoreline for the visitors, who responded well to their defeat to Arsenal in the same competition on Saturday.
