Oldham 0 Brentford 2
Goals from Jonathan Douglas and Myles Weston gave Brentford their fourth away league victory of the season.
Douglas struck seven minutes before half-time, firing through a crowd of players after Oldham had failed to clear Niall McGinn’s left-wing cross.
The Bees were reduced to 10 men when on-loan defender Miguel Llera was sent off for a second bookable offence midway through the second half.
But they scored again on 73 minutes when Weston – on as a substitute for debutant David Clarkson – fired home with his left foot.
It sealed a deserved win that took Brentford up to sixth place – only four points behind leaders Charlton
