West Bromwich Albion could make Brentford an offer for Romaine Sawyers.
Albion are interested in re-signing the 26-year-old midfielder, who began his career at The Hawthorns.
He did not make a first-team appearance for Albion, who released him in 2013, when he joined Walsall.
Sawyers moved to Griffin Park in 2016 and has made 89 appearances for the Bees, scoring eight goals.
Five of those goals came last season, when he impressed for Dean Smith’s side, having initially struggled to make an impact.
