Tottenham youngsters beat Brentford in friendly
Philipp Hofmann scored as Brentford’s B side were beaten 3-1 by Tottenham’s Under-23s in a friendly on Tuesday.
Spurs made a bright start, with Shilow Tracey striking the bar from close range and the follow-up from Shayon Harrison being blocked on the line.
But Brentford took the lead on 11 minutes when Hofmann, who has made only five first-team appearances this season, was teed up by Konstantin Kerschbaumer, the other senior player in the line-up.
Spurs levelled midway through the first half when Luke Amos cut out a short goal kick from Bees keeper Ellery Balcombe, and he squared the ball for Harrison to score.
Tottenham then got their noses in front after the break, Charlie Owens putting in Joe Pritchard’s corner at the far post.
And they added a third with nine minutes to play, when another Pritchard corner was headed in.
