Teenage midfielder Reece Cole was among the goalscorers as Brentford’s Under-21 side came from behind to win 3-1 at Ipswich on Monday.
Jermaine Udumaga, Josh Laurent and Courtney Senior, who have all briefly seen first-team action this season, started the game.
Sam Ford gave Ipswich the early lead when he converted Myles George Kenlock’s cross at the far post.
Herson Alves missed a good opportunity to equalise but Brentford did level when Senior slipped the ball past the keeper after a good pass from Montell Moore.
Ipswich’s Alex Henshall hit the bar but the Bees motored ahead in the second half with two goals in as many minutes, substitute Cole making it 2-1 before Jan Holldack grabbed the third.
