Brentford goalkeeper Richard Lee was substituted at half-time against Carlisle after admitting he was a liability to the team because he was feeling unwell.
Lee has been outstanding for the Bees this season but was clearly struggling during the first half of his team’s 4-0 win at Griffin Park.
He was replaced by Simon Moore, who pulled off an impressive save shortly after being introduced.
“Richard didn’t feel well and he felt he was a liability because of his condition,” manager Uwe Rosler explained.
“He is a very experienced player and when he comes to me and says ‘Gaffer, I have to come off’ then I have no choice.”
Lee’s withdrawal came after Gary Alexander was taken off on 29 minutes after sustaining a heavy knock to his hip.
And defender Shaleum Logan was replaced by Adam Thompson in the second half because of a groin problem.
Both Alexander and Logan are doubtful for Saturday’s trip to Scunthorpe.
