Rosler so proud of Brentford’s battlers

Uwe Rosler paid tribute to his players after their 2-2 draw against Chelsea.

And the proud Brentford manager said they fully deserve their visit to Stamford Bridge for the replay.

The Bees played magnificently in a frenetic FA Cup fourth-round clash and were seven minutes away from a famous victory when Fernando Torres netted an equaliser.

“Chelsea had a lot of play but didn’t create clear-cut chances,” said Rosler.

“We defended very well and worked very well against the ball.

“To be five minutes before the end and leading 2-1, I’m slightly disappointed twe didn’t win the game.

“But, overall, my players did fantastically. They earned the right to play at Stamford Bridge.

“It will be a great day for our supporters again for our players and, financially, it will help the club enormously.

“Congratulations to my players for what they did today, individually and collectively. That was top drawer.”
