Pinnock among four Bees players sidelined for Spurs game
Brentford will be without four players for Saturday’s home clash with Tottenham – including Ethan Pinnock, who is expected to miss the next couple of weeks with a hamstring injury.
Pinnock limped off in the first half of the 2-1 win over Watford last Saturday, while the Bees will also be without another central defender in Zanka, who has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a muscle problem in the adductor area.
Sergi Canos, meanwhile, remains sidelined with a hamstring injury and Frank Onyeka could potentially miss the rest of the season after suffering ankle ligament damage.
Boss Thomas Frank said: “Ethan will, hopefully, be only a couple of weeks, so that means Manchester United is borderline, but let’s see.
The defensive injuries mean Mads Bech Sorensen could come into the line-up against Spurs, having replaced Pinnock in the win over Watford last week.
“They know they’re facing a good Brentford team where they have to be at their absolute max to beat us,” Frank added.
“I massively believe that if we top perform, we can win.”
