Saido Berahino hopes to fire Brentford into the play-offs with yet more goals.
Berahino’s brace against Exeter on Tuesday closed the gap on sixth-placed Notts County to six points.
And it continued an explosive start to life at Griffin Park for the on-loan forward, who also scored twice against Carlisle.
“I was pleased with my goals – we needed a win so it’s a good job I was there to score,” Berahino, 18, told West London Sport.
“I’ve just got to maintain it now. I’ve come here to help Brentford get into the play-offs so hopefully I can do that – that’s what me, the manager and the rest of the players are all concentrating on.
“I’m delighted with my impact at Brentford. It’s gone well and I couldn’t have asked for more really.”
