Brentford stalwart Kevin O’Connor has signed a new one-year deal.
The 32-year-old’s previous contract was due to expire at the end of the season but he will now remain at Griffin Park until at least 2015. The long-serving club captain will also take on coaching responsibilities.
O’Connor is approaching 500 appearances for the Bees, putting him fourth in the club’s all-time appearances list.
He signed professional terms in 1999 after progressing through the Brentford’s youth system and made his debut in February 2000.
Brentford have also given midfielder Charlie Adams a professional contract.
