Brentford had to settle for a point at Leeds, despite a debut goal from Marco Djuricin. Here’s how we rated the Bees players at Elland Road.
David Button: 7
Made a first-half save from Lewis Cook and looked a commanding presence in the box, making several important claims. But his most crucial intervention was late on when he denied Mirco Antenucci.
Maxime Colin: 6
Shown a very early yellow card for a foul on Alex Mowatt and had his hands full with former Bee Stuart Dallas and attacking left-back Charlie Taylor before picking up an injury and being replaced on 74 minutes.
Harlee Dean: 7
A solid performance against the aerial threat of Chris Wood and, when he was introduced at half-time, the tricky Antenucci.
James Tarkowski: 8
An excellent display from the centre-back, composed in defence and also provided a presence at set plays, almost setting up a winner for Hofmann late on.
Jake Bidwell: 7
Started the move that led to Brentford’s opening goal and was sharp in the tackle but perhaps should have done better with a header that came his way at 1-0 up.
Toumani Diagouraga: 7
Contiues to be an underrated player, providing a solid base in front of the back four. Did blot his copybook with a yellow card late in the game though.
Alan McCormack: 6
Began in the heart of midfield and had a decent game before switching to full-back when Colin had to go off and Woods was introduced.
Konstantin Kerschbaumer: 7
Went close to scoring in the opening minute and always kept the ball ticking over when Brentford were in possession.
Lasse Vibe: 7
Involved in bursts, particularly in the second half when his shot following a driving run went over the bar. Also helped out with the threat down the Leeds left provided by Dallas and Taylor.
Marco Djuricin: 8
A memorable debut for the Red Bull Salzburg loanee, who helped set up Kerschbaumer’s early chance and then netted himself after half an hour. Also hit the post and was a constant menace to the Leeds back line.
Alan Judge: 8
Probably Brentford’s most effective performer, the winger outshone former team-mate Dallas. Set up Djuricin’s goal and had several attempts himself, as well as providing telling deliveries from crosses and corners.
Philipp Hofmann: 6
Came on just after the hour mark for Djuricin and almost conjured a winner but couldn’t divert Tarkowski’s header into the net, before himself being replaced with an injury.
