Brentford face competition for Canos

Leeds United and Bristol City have expressed an interest in signing Brentford target Sergi Canos from Norwich.

West London Sport revealed last week that the Bees had made an approach to sign the 19-year-old, who impressed while on loan at Griffin Park last season.

Brentford wanted to sign him during the summer but the player opted for a move to Norwich, where he has so far struggled to establish himself as a first-team player.

“We have had approaches from clubs for our players but until there is anything really concrete happens it is difficult to go into any detail,” said Norwich boss Alex Neil.

“The one thing I will say is sometimes you have to strengthen the squad by selling players, and that can come from Sergi or anybody in the squad.”
