Rob Kiernan says he is keen to return to Brentford for another loan spell.
The 21-year-old Wigan defender’s current loan deal expires in January and he could feature for the Premier League club in their FA Cup third-round tie with Bournemouth.
Wigan boss Roberto Martinez refused Brentford permission to select him in the FA Cup as he wanted Kiernan to be available to play in the competition for the Latics.
Kiernan told West London Sport: “I’m keen to come back and keep playing – I love it here.
“I’ve got to go back for the third-round game with Bournemouth – that’s why I couldn’t play against Bradford.
“They’re a great bunch of lads at Brentford and I’m really enjoying it here so I’d like to come back for a second spell.”
