Brentford’s Dasilva ruled out of play-offs

Brentford midfielder Josh Dasilva will be unavailable for the play-offs.

Dasilva has a hip injury and has not featured since the 2-1 win against Stoke City on 27 February.

His condition has improved but there is no prospect of him featuring in the play-offs, which the Bees – currently 10 points behind second-placed Watford with four matches remaining – look certain to be involved in.

There are also doubts over whether full-backs Rico Henry and Henrik Dalsgaard will be fit by the time the play-offs begin on 17 May.

Henry is sidelined with a hamstring injury he suffered at Coventry in February, while Denmark defender Dalsgaard has been out with a knee problem which led to him returning early from international duty last month.

Boss Thomas Frank said: “They are better. I think that it’s unlikely that they’ll be ready for the (regular) season.

“Then we need to see in terms of how they are in terms of the play-offs, both for Rico and for Henrik.

“Josh is a longer one. Josh is out for the season (including the play-offs).”

Brentford have no new injury worries ahead of Saturday’s game against in-form promotion rivals Bournemouth.
