Hickey returns to action in Under-21 game

Aaron Hickey has made his long-awaited return to action.

The Brentford full-back, out since October 2023, played the first 45 minutes for the club’s Under-21 side in a match against Birmingham City.

He scored in a 2-0 win for the Bees and the Scotland international will now be looking to move towards a first-return following a lengthy battle with a hamstring injury.

Hickey, signed from Italian side Bologna in the summer of 2022, was a key player before his injury.

Last month the club extended his contract until 2028.
