Harris keen to emulate Cardiff’s Bellamy
Brentford’s on-loan winger Kadeem Harris says his ambition is to follow in Craig Bellamy’s footsteps at Cardiff.
The 20-year-old, who is at Griffin Park until January, has enjoyed a fine start to his time with the Bees and scored on his debut last week.
His aim is to play his way into Cardiff boss Malkay Mackay’s plans by helping Brentford’s promotion bid.
“Craig Bellamy is someone who really helps the young players at Cardiff,” Harris told West London Sport .
“He has always given me advice and has done with all of us in general. He’s a great role model and a fantastic professional. He comes in and works so hard in training and we all look up to him.
“I think he wants to go into managing or coaching after he’s finished playing and I think he’d be great at that.
“Every winger at Cardiff is quality. Now we’re in the Premier League we’ve done a lot of spending. We’ve brought in Peter Odemwingie and we already had Craig Bellamy and Craig Noone.
“I look up to them all in different ways. They’ve got different strengths, and I want to learn from their strengths. I aspire to be like them and want to be the best I can.
“If I can take all the best attributes that they have then the sky is the limit for me.”
