Transfer gossip: Bees and QPR linked with German midfielder

Some of the recent transfer speculation involving the area’s clubs…

Brentford and QPR want German midfielder Patrick Erras, the Daily Mail say.

The 25-year-old, who was previously linked with Newcastle, is approaching the end of his Nurnberg contract.

The Mail say Leeds are looking to sign him and that there is also interest from Brentford, QPR, Bristol City and Blackburn.

Speculation over Eze’s future continues

QPR’s valuation of Ebere Eze could put off West Ham and Newcastle, the Mail has suggested.

Rangers plan to hold out for the highest possible price for the forward, who has been watched by Premier League clubs.

West London Sport revealed in January that an approach for Eze from Crystal Palace had been rejected, having previously revealed the Eagles were showing an interest in him.

He has since been linked with several clubs, including Tottenham and Chelsea.

Newcastle and West Ham have more recently been linked with Eze, but the Mail suggest the potential price could deter them.

The Express, on the other hand, have suggested that Jamie Reuben – currently a QPR director – being involved in the proposed takeover of Newcastle means the Tyneside club could be favourites to sign Eze.

Fenerbahce linked with Osayi-Samuel

Fenerbahce are reportedly interested in signing Bright Osayi-Samuel from QPR.

Turkish television channel Haber Global have reported that Fener have identified Osayi-Samuel as a possible signing.

West London Sport recently revealed that QPR had rejected a bid from Club Brugge for the 22-year-old.

The Belgian outfit offered just over £3m for the winger, who has been outstanding this season.

The bid was promptly turned down and QPR remain in discussions with Osayi-Samuel over a new contract.

Options to extend the contracts of Osayi-Samuel and Ryan Manning by a year were recently taken up – both deals were due to expire this summer.

QPR are hoping to tie them to longer-term deals but expect interest this summer in the likes of Osayi-Samuel and Eze.

The club have been looking at potential replacements. West London Sport recently revealed that Rangers are interested in Guingamp’s Axel Urie.

Chelsea interested in Kurzawa, Express reckon

Chelsea are eyeing Paris St-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa as a possible alternative to Ben Chilwell, the Daily Express claim.

It comes amid reports that Leicester want as much as £80m for England international left-back Chilwell, who has long been linked with Chelsea.

A number of left-backs have been touted as a possible alternative to Chilwell.

And the Express claim Chelsea are considering signing Kurzawa, who is set to leave PSG on a free transfer and is apparently wanted by Arsenal.

Kante ‘available for move’

The Express have also picked up on story by Spanish newspaper Sport again linking N’Golo Kante with a move to Real Madrid.

Sport claim Chelsea have made Kante available as they look to make room for more signings.

Coutinho still being touted for move

Chelsea continue to be linked with Barcelona’s former Liverpool forward Philippe Coutinho

The Daily Mail have picked up on another story by Sport, this time claiming that Barca are looking at defenders from Chelsea and Tottenham who could be part of a swap deal involving Coutinho.

Spurs and Newcastle have also been linked with the Brazilian, who has been on loan at Bayern Munich.

Chelsea favourites to sign Havertz – Sun

Real Madrid are set to join the race for Kai Havertz but Chelsea are favourites to sign him, according to The Sun.

The newspaper say Chelsea are looking to buy winger Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen for around £70m.

Several other clubs have been linked with the player and it is claimed that Real are now showing an interest.

The Sun declare, though, that Chelsea are “optimistic” they will secure a deal to take Havertz to Stamford Bridge.

The Guardian say Chelsea have made contact with Leverkusen about Havertz and that Brentford’s Said Benrahma is also on the Blues’ shortlist of possible signings.

The Daily Mail believe Chelsea are prepared to pay £75m to snap up Havertz when the transfer window reopens.
