Pinnock ‘fine’ despite picking up knock – Frank
Brentford head coach Thomas Frank says Ethan Pinnock will be fit to face Aston Villa on Saturday.
Defender Pinnock limped off with an ankle knock at the end of the 3-1 victory over Forest Green Rovers in the Carabao Cup second round at the Community Stadium.
But Frank has allayed any worries ahead of the Bees’ third game in the Premier League.
Frank said: “Ethan is fine. There was contact with his ankle – he also had a knock on the same area during the game against Crystal Palace. However, he will be fine for the game against Villa.”
Brentford will head to Villa after a win and a draw in their opening two Premier League games.
And Frank maintains that while he is happy with his squad, he is still looking at potential additions.
He added: “I have a squad I’m pleased with but with the transfer window still open we’re always in the market.”
