Brentford midfielder Adam Forshaw has undergone surgery to correct an ankle problem.
The 22-year-old has been managing the condition for most of the season with the help of the promoted club’s medical department.
He will miss the Bees’ two remaining games this term and will return in pre-season ahead of next season’s challenge in the Championship.
Brentford’s head of medical Neil Grieg said: “Adam’s surgery was deemed a success and he will now begin a carefully devised rehabilitation programme over the summer.”
