Brentford have extended goalkeeper Liam O’Brien’s contract until the end of the season.
The former Portsmouth and Barnet man signed a three-month deal last August and a two-month extension in November.
He spent two years at Barnet after being unable to establish himself at Pompey, who signed him from QPR after he had spent time on trial at a number of clubs, including Arsenal.
O’Brien, from Ruislip, is yet to make his first-team debut for Brentford but has been an unused substitute eight times and will continue to provide cover for David Button and Richard Lee.
His new deal runs out on 14 May and Bees boss Mark Warburton said: “It gives him the opportunity to continue to impress the staff with his application and technical ability.”
