Jermaine Udumaga scored for Brentford as they were beaten 2-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Tottenham on Wednesday afternoon.
Both Spurs goals came from penalties, Shaq Coulthirst converting the first on 25 minutes to give the Premier League side a half-time lead.
Earlier, Bees keeper Jack Bonham had saved from Coulthirst and Nathan Oduwa, and Nabil Bentaleb hit the post, while at the other end Konstantin Kerschbaumer had a shot kept out by Luke McGee in the Spurs goal.
After Moses Odubajo had conceded the first spot-kick, fouling Oduwa, Jota was denied an equaliser by McGee while Bonham pushed an effort from Christian Eriksen around the post.
After the break, Mousa Dembele forced a save from Bonham but in stoppage time the Brentford keeper brought down Dele Alli, who converted the penalty.
There was still time for Udamaga to pull a goal back from close range, less than 24 hours after he also netted for Brentford’s development squad in a defeat at Staines.
The Bees used 21 players with Andre Gray, Jake Bidwell, Alan Judge and Kerschbaumer all playing more than an hour.
Spurs kept a strong line-up throughout most of the match, with Toby Alderweireld, Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker, Federico Fazio, Jan Vertonghen, Ben Davies, Tom Carroll and Nacer Chadli also featuring.
