Midfielder Jonathan Douglas has left Brentford to join Ipswich on a 12-month contract.
The 33-year-old, whose deal at Portman Road includes the option of a further year, was told last month that he was surplus to requirements at Brentford.
Douglas was the mainstay of the Bees’ midfield under both Uwe Rosler and the German’s successor as manager Mark Warburton, making 187 appearances and scoring 17 goals in four years with the club.
The former Republic of Ireland international began his career at Blackburn before spells with Leeds and Swindon.
He was the second Brentford player to leave Griffin Park on Tuesday, after winger Stuart Dallas completed move to Leeds.
