Former QPR forward Tommy Smith is training with Brentford.
The 34-year-old is a free agent after leaving Cardiff City and may feature for the Bees in a pre-season friendly against Boreham Wood on Thursday.
Smith, who had two spells at Watford, joined QPR from Portsmouth in August 2010 and had an eventful two-year stay at Loftus Road.
He scored in the 2-0 victory at Watford which clinched promotion in 2011 and his goal at Everton gave Rangers their first win back in the top flight after 15-year absence.
Smith has also played for Sunderland and Derby.
