Brentford have confirmed the arrival of Austria international Marco Djuricin on a season-long loan deal.
The 22-year-old Red Bull Salzburg striker passed a medical on Friday and the move was completed early on Monday.
Brentford have been searching for a replacement for Andre Gray, who joined Championship rivals Burnley earlier this month.
Djuricin was recently handed his first two caps for Austria having represented his country at every youth level from Under-17 to Under-21.
He signed for Salzburg from Sturm Graz, having made his senior club debut during a three-year spell in Germany with Hertha Berlin.
Bees head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen told the club’s website: “With Andre Gray leaving us, we needed a new striker who was similar in style. And with Marco we have found a very good replacement.
“He is used to playing at a very high level and has experience of international football. He is a good finisher but also has specific qualities that can suit us, like running in behind defenders.
“With Philipp Hofmann also available, I am very happy we have now two quality strikers of differing styles.”
