Brentford will not select Tarkowski against Preston
James Tarkowski will not be selected by Brentford for Saturday’s trip to Preston.
The centre-back was disciplined by the club after refusing to play last Friday against Burnley, who had made attempts to sign him.
Tarkowski was kept away from the club for most of this week and, although he returned to training on Thursday, he will not be considered for the game at Deepdale.
However, Bees boss Dean Smith said he would be available for selection in the future.
After seeing his team beat Brentford 3-0, Burnley boss Sean Dyche admitted they may consider making a second offer for Tarkowski, having seen a £2.5m offer rejected.
