Milton Keynes Dons boss Karl Robinson has told MK News that on-loan Brentford striker Will Grigg is a great example for youngsters to follow.
The Northern Ireland international scored both goals in the Dons’ 2-0 win over Scunthorpe on Tuesday night to take his tally for the season to 19.
Grigg, 23, endured a frustrating first year as a Brentford player, scoring only five times in 34 matches as the Bees won promotion from League One.
But he has rediscovered his touch in front of goal during his loan at Stadium:MK, and Robinson was quick to praise him.
The Dons manager said: “He’s scored 19 goals and covered about 15 miles – incredible.
“He’s a tremendous example for any younger fan and he has workrate in abundance.”
Robinson also had words of encouragement for Chelsea loanee Lewis Baker, who he described as ‘outstanding’ in the victory, which keeps the Dons third in League One.

Good luck to Will Grigg , as a bees supporter I don't think he was utilised enough and we sent him out on loan before he was given his main chance at Brentford . Who knows what next season will bring with the proposed managerial upheaval at Brentford but I would love to see Will come back to the Bees with the confidence that MK Dons have given him and do the business for us...sorry for MK fans though if that should happen
