Chris Long missed Brentford’s 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest because of a stomach bug, manager Mark Warburton explained.
Forward Long, on-loan from Everton, was missing from the Bees line-up for the game at Griffin Park, where Jota’s last-gasp equaliser rescued point for the home side.
Long had been due to play, with Warburton keen to rest Andre Gray, but was not fit enough to join the squad.
Warburton confirmed: “The intention was to start with Chris and rest Andre, but he has a stomach bug so that changed at the last minute.”
