Brentford defender joins Danish champions on loan
Brentford defender Daniel O’Shaughnessy has joined Danish champions FC Midtjylland on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old has won two caps for Finland but is yet to make his first-team debut for the Bees, though he is a regular for the Under-21 side.
He joined Brentford on a two-year contract in 2014 having previously spent time in France with Metz and in Finland with HJK Helsinki.
O’Shaughnessy could end up facing Manchester United next month as FC Midtjylland are their opponents in the last 32 of the Europa League.
The club, where Brentford owner Matthew Benham has the majority shareholding, are third in the Danish league at present, four points off the top.
