Bees defeat continues miserable start under Frank

Norwich 1 Brentford 0

Emiliano Buendia’s first-half goal made it three defeats from three games for Brentford under new boss Thomas Frank.

Buendia netted 11 minutes before the interval with a superb first-time finish after being found by Timm Klose’s long ball.

Bees keeper Daniel Bentley saved Jordan Rhodes’ penalty in first-half injury time after Max Aarons had been brought down by Ollie Watkins.

That kept Brentford in the game but they were unable to find an equaliser in the second half.

Maupay missed a golden chance, hitting the bar from close range after Lewis Macleod’s shot had been saved by keeper Tim Krul.

Brentford: Bentley, Dalsgaard, Mepham, Konsa, Barbet, Canos (Benrahma 57), Yennaris (Macleod 72), Mokotjo (McEachran 30), Sawyers, Watkins, Maupay.
Subs not used: Daniels, Odubajo, Judge, Clarke.
