Brentford’s Baptiste confirms lengthy injury lay-off
Brentford midfielder Shandon Baptiste has confirmed he faces a lengthy spell out with a knee problem.
Boss Thomas Frank recently told West London Sport that Pontus Jansson would be unavailable for “weeks rather than months” but that Baptiste was set to be out for longer after a recent setback.
And Baptiste has posted on Twitter, revealing that he has had surgery after suffering an injury in training and will be out for “the next months to come.”
Hopefully when I’m back it will be with all you wonderful fans back in the stadium until then back the boys and see you soon. 2/2🐝🐝🐝

Baptiste, 22, joined the Bees from Oxford United in January but has since started just three league matches and has not featured for more than a month.
Speaking earlier this week, Frank said: “For Pontus it would be weeks rather than months. That’s good.
“Shandon could be slightly longer. He just had a minor setback, so we just need to assess that.”
