Neal Maupay has joined Brighton from Brentford in a £20m deal.
West London Sport revealed Brighton’s interest in the striker and later revealed the two clubs were in talks, having also revealed that Brentford were holding out for at least £20m despite reports Maupay was close to joining Sheffield United for £15m.
And West London Sport revealed that Brentford want to sign Switzerland striker Albian Ajeti from FC Basel to replace Maupay at Griffin Park.
However, capturing Ajeti, 22, might not be an easy task.
He has three years left on his contract, is hoping a Premier League club will come in for him, and his wage demands deterred West Brom, who recently attempted to persuade him to join them.
Maupay, also 22, scored 28 goals last season and attracted interest from a number of other top-flight sides, including Aston Villa and West Ham.
Signed from St Etienne two years ago, he made 85 league appearances for the Bees, scoring 37 goals.
