Thomas Frank is under consideration to become Brentford head coach following Dean Smith’s departure for Aston Villa.
Frank is highly thought of among the Bees hierarchy, having impressed since joining as assistant head coach in 2016.
The Dane has previously been in charge of Brondby, twice making Europa League qualifiers, as well as the Denmark’s Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 sides.
Co-sporting directors Phil Giles and Rasmus Ankersen will meet on Thursday for talks about potential successors to Smith.
Frank was placed in caretaker charge after Smith was announced as Villa boss on Wednesday evening.
Smith had told Brentford that he wanted to leave in order to take the job at the club he supported as a boy.

Oh dear. Charlie the Bee's gone very quiet.
Oops! has the Brentford bubble burst? I really hope so.
