Chris Mepham has completed a £12m move from Brentford to Bournemouth.
The Premier League club confirmed the transfer on Tuesday afternoon, announcing that Mepham, 21, had signed a “long-term contract” with them.
West London Sport initially revealed the interest in Mepham from Bournemouth, who had offers for the Hammersmith-born central defender rejected last January and during the summer transfer window.
The Cherries remained keen on Mepham and again made an approach to Brentford to see if an agreement could be reached.
The two clubs agreed a deal on Monday night.
